Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.28(a):The employer is responsible for requiring the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment in all operations where there is an exposure to hazardous conditions or where this part indicates the need for using such equipment to reduce the hazards to the employees. On or about May 8, 2024, the employer failed to require an employee to wear the proper personal protective equipment during the testing of a 34kV energized distribution line, exposing the employee to an arc flash/ blast. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
