29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions. (a) CGRS, Inc., 1525 - 1555 Sherman St. (Alley), Denver, CO 80203: On or before March 20, 2024, the employer did not ensure that three employees were protected from hazards associated with spoils piles, suspended loads and lateral pressure applied to trench walls in that no inspections were conducted by the competent person as required. This exposed employees to struck by and caught in hazards.
