29 CFR 1910.1450(e)(1): Where hazardous chemicals were used in the workplace, the employer did not develop and carry out the provisions of a written Chemical Hygiene Plan which was capable of protecting employees from health hazards associated with hazardous chemicals. a) Hau Processing Labs: On April 18, 2024, and at times prior, employees were exposed to chemicals, such as, but not limited to; Methylene Chloride, Dimethylformamide, Heptane, Hexane, and Pentane while performing laboratory operations. The employer failed to develop and carry out the provisions of the required written chemical hygiene plan, to protect employees from health hazards associated with hazardous chemicals.
