29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. a) Castle Woodcraft-Production Floor: The employer failed to ensure that the employee's workstations were maintained in a clean orderly, and sanitary condition. Combustible dust accumulation was observed around work benches, behind tables and shelving, on windowsills, and on electrical receptacles. Condition observed on or about 03/07/2024. b) Castle Woodcraft-Production Floor: Employees performing wood working operations were exposed to slip, trip and fall hazard(s) when extension cords being used with hand tools were permitted to be routed across the shop floor to multiple work benches. Condition observed on or about 03/07/2024. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
