29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2): Overhead cranes were not inspected for defects on a daily basis for items including but not limited to; all functional operating mechanisms for maladjustment interfering with proper operation, deterioration or leakage of air or hydraulic systems, hooks, hoist chains, all functional operating mechanisms for excessive wear of components, rope reeving for noncompliance with manufacturer's recommendations: a) West Bay, Assembly Crane - Frequent inspections were not conducted on a 10-Ton D.R. Cordell floor operated overhead bridge crane and associated hook, on or about February 29, 2024. b) East Bay, Machine Shop Crane - Frequent inspections were not conducted on a 5-Ton Konecranes floor operated overhead bridge crane and associated hook, on or about February 29, 2024.
