29 CFR 1910.184(c)(6): Slings were not securely attached to their loads: a) On or about 02/20/2024, at 30 Simonds Street, Lockport, NY; Chain slings used to lift steel plates with the 5-TON Detroit crane were used with hooks missing safety latches. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when using a double-leg chain sling to hoist steel plates with hooks missing safety latches. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
