Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2): The employer shall verify that the required workplace hazard assessment has been performed through a written certification that identifies the workplace evaluated; the person certifying that the evaluation has been performed; the date(s) of the hazard assessment; and, which identifies the document as a certification of hazard assessment. On or about February 2, 2024, the employer did not develop nor verify a written Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) hazard assessment for employees conducting operations that require PPE including operating the angle grinder, table saws including the Kobalt KWS S102-06 table saw, and concrete mixers. This includes but is not limited to employees using corrosive products such as white portland cement type I-II, portland cement, ConAir, and NiroCast K that contain chemicals including but not limited to calcium oxide, crystalline silica, sulfonic acids C14-16-alkane hydroxy C14-16 alkene sodium salts, sodium hydroxide, nitrocalcite tetrahydrate, and sodium rhodanate.
