29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(1)(ii)(B): The Employer's Exposure Control Plan did not contain the schedule and method of implementation for paragraphs (d) Methods of Compliance, (f) Hepatitis B Vaccination and Post-Exposure Evaluation and Follow-up, (g) Communication of Hazards to Employees, and (h) Recordkeeping, of this standard: a) Northbrook Behavioral Health: The Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control plan did not include the specific engineering controls used for items, such as sharps, the location of sharps disposal containers, the parties responsible for maintaining sharps containers, the cleaning schedule and decontamination procedures for surfaces and items contaminated with blood or OPIM, PPE required for use when exposed to circumstances where blood or OPIM are present, the location of PPE and the parties responsible for providing PPE, procedures to handle contaminated laundry, training requirements for employees, including the department responsible for training, recordkeeping, including the retention period for certain records, the specific records that must be maintained and the parties responsible for retaining those records, the department responsible for administering the hepatitis B vaccination, when it would be available and the declination form, and annual evaluation of the Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control program, including review of the sharps used in the facility. Employees administer sharps and are exposed to body fluids when bitten by patients while performing restraints, on or about 11/7/2024. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
