Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer shall assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). On or about October 31, 2023, and January 8, 2024, employees were manually spraying parts, that were passing through the spray booth line, with Polyester / Triglycidyl Isocyanurate H.G. Employees were exposed to corrosive materials, such as Polyester/TGIC H.G. The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present which necessitate the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
