Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer shall provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: On or about December 20, 2023, at a facility located at 246 Trowbridge Dr., Fond du Lac, WI 54935; the employer did not provide training to ensure that employees: a) Understood the purpose and function of the energy control program. Employees did not receive training to implement lockout/tagout when conducting servicing in the form of sanitation on the Line 4 Scale Infeed conveyor. b) Acquired the knowledge and skills required for the safe application and usage of energy controls. Employees did not received training to verify that isolation and deenergization of the machines had been accomplished when employees conducted servicing and maintenance of cheese processing equipment, in the form of sanitation, on machines such as but not limited to the Line 4 Cuber machine and Line 4 Z-belt machine.
