29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a. On?or about?September 13, 2023, in the Weld/Fab Area, the?employer failed?to provide?training to?each authorized?employee performing?service and/or?maintenance (setting up), to include installing saw blades on the Peddinghaus Meba Swing, Model 260DG, Serial #50528 horizontal bandsaw to?ensure the?employee acquired?the knowledge?and skills?required for?the safe?application, usage?and removal?of energy?control devices.?? Employees required to change bandsaw blades without equipment being de-energized and locked out during servicing and/or maintenance (setting up) were exposed to machine hazards.
