29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7): Industrial trucks were not examined on a daily basis before being placed in service: On or about August 22, 2023, employees were performing material handling work using powered industrial trucks at a workplace located at 4140 Webster Street, Springfield, Missouri- where employees were subjected to numerous struck-by and crushing hazards posed by using powered industrial trucks. Specifically, the employer did not ensure that the powered industrial trucks were examined on a daily basis to look for conditions such as, but not limited to, L.P. or gas leaks, oil level and pressure, brakes, lights, horn works, hour meter, steering, tires, hydraulic controls, hydraulic lines, check for leaks, overhead guard, battery plug connection and battery charge.
