29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Use. Ladders shall be used only for the purpose for which they were designed. a) On or about August 16, 2023, employees were not utilizing the Werner extension ladder for the purpose it was intended in that it had been deconstructed and only the top half was being used as access and egress for an open excavation.
