29 CFR 1926.451(b)(5)(i): The end of a platform 10 feet or less in length, extended over its support more than 12 inches: Note: Does not apply if the platform was designed and installed so that the cantilevered portion of the platform was able to support employees and/or materials without tipping or had guardrails that blocked employee access to the end: (a) Southeast side of residential structure, lower roof; An extendable aluminum scaffold plank, used as a work platform of a ladder jack scaffold system, extended more than 12-inches over the north bracket support. The cantilevered end was not equipped with a guardrail to restrict employee access and was not properly supported to prevent tipping.
