29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: The employer failed to develop, document, and utilize procedures for the control of hazardous energy when employees engage in maintenance, machine set-up, breakdown, and sanitation activities. Equipment includes but is not limited to the machines in the production room. a) On or about March 31, 2023, and times prior the employer failed to develop, document, and utilize specific written energy control procedures for employees engaged in maintenance, machine set-up, break down, and sanitation activities on the Weiler block grinder in the production room. b) On or about March 31, 2023, and times prior the employer failed to develop, document, and utilize specific written energy control procedures for employees engaged in maintenance, machine set-up, break down, and sanitation activities on the Food Processing Equipment Co.'s meat silos in the production room. c) On or about March 31, 2023, and times prior the employer failed to develop, document, and utilize specific written energy control procedures for employees engaged in maintenance, machine set-up, break down, and sanitation activities on the Reiser "Flaker" in the production room. d) On or about May 10, 2023, and times prior the employer failed to develop, document, and utilize specific written energy control procedures for employees engaged in maintenance, machine set-up, break down, and sanitation activities on the Food Processing Equipment Co.'s mixers in the production room.
