29 CFR 1910.184(c)(5): Slings used in a basket hitch did not have the loads balanced to prevent slippage. Global Precision Parts Inc., on or about March 1, 2023, at the address of 13060 State Route 287 East Liberty, OH 43319: The employer failed to ensure the hoisted bundles of brass bar stock were balanced within the slings when being moved from a flatbed semi-truck trailer. An employee was operating the overhead crane to hoist unbalanced bundles of brass bar stock from a flatbed semi-truck trailer to the staging area. The employee operating in this condition was exposed to struck-by hazards.
