29 CFR 1910.146(c)(1): The employer did not evaluate the workplace to determine if any spaces were permit-required confined spaces: a) Kit Kat Line 22, Cooling Tunnel - The employer had not identified a chocolate cooling tunnel as a permit-required confined space, on or about December 21, 2022. The cooling tunnel contains multiple levels of conveyor belt exposing employees to caught-in and/or struck-by hazards. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
