29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition: (a) Polishing - Combustible aluminum dust had accumulated on the floor in the booth for the two G&P Machinery double end spindle stand polishers, exposing employees to fire and explosion hazards, on or about October 27, 2022. (b) Sand-O-Flex - Combustible aluminum dust had accumulated on the floor booths for the Sand-O-Flex work stations, exposing employees to fire and explosion hazards, on or about October 27, 2022. (c) Grinding - Combustible aluminum dust had accumulated on the floor around the two Admiral double end spindle stand abrasive belt grinders, exposing employees to fire and explosion hazards, on or about October 27, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
