Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.333(a)(2): Where exposed live parts were not deenergized (i.e., for reasons of increased or additional hazards or infeasibility), other safety-related work practices were not used to protect employees who could be exposed to the electrical hazards involved: a. Test Lab - On or about August 15, 2022, employees were exposed to live parts or in close proximity of live parts in order to adjust the controls inside the compressors control box. Voltage inside the box was in excess of 50 VAC. Employees did not have protective garments and the employer failed to implement and enforce safety related work practices which exposed employees to an electrical hazard. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
