29 CFR 1910.22(c): The employer did not provide, and ensure each employee uses, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces. (a) 157 West Jackson Street, Silo 30c, interior of milk receiving area - On or about June 9, 2022, employees accessing the silo alcove to perform maintenance work had to climb over and onto pipes to access the silo alcove, employees were exposed to a fall hazard in excess of 2 feet. (b) 157 West Jackson Street, Condenser #4, roof - On or about June 9, 2022, employees accessing the ladder at condenser #4 had to climb over and onto pipes to access the ladder for the rooftop condenser, employees were exposed to a fall hazard in excess of 4 feet or cause damage to ammonia handling equipment which may result in the exposure to hazardous ammonia gas or liquid. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
