29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(15): Ladders shall be inspected by a competent person for visible defects on a periodic basis and after any occurrence that could affect their safe use. The employer failed to ensure that ladders used on the job site are thoroughly inspected for damage or defects that could affect their use. This was most recently documented on or about May 23, 2022 at a residential construction jobsite located at 4513 S 215 Ave, Elkhorn Nebraska. The employer did not ensure that a damaged aluminum extension ladder being used as means of access and egress to the upper working areas by the employees was inspected for visible defects.
