29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc: a) On or about May 17, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI, in Building 11, the Finger Jointer Even End (Corner Spot) Work Station Laborer was exposed to ingoing nip points from the feed rolls meeting the top of the material being moved. b) On or about May 18, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI, in Building 5-6, the Finger Jointer Even End (Corner Spot) Work Station Laborer was exposed to ingoing nip points from the feed rolls meeting the top of the material being moved. c) On or about May 18, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI, in Building 5-6, the Finger Jointer Even End (Corner Spot) Work Station Laborer was exposed to pinch points from the gray material feed slat conveyor broken slats spaces traveling under the table surface. d) On or about May 18, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI, in Building 7, the Line 4 Keim Multi-Rip Saw Operator is exposed to crush points where the Keim Multi-Rip In-Feed System feed rolls lower onto the material being conveyed into the Keim Multi-Rip Saw. e) On or about May 18, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI, in Building 7, employees stacking from the Line 4 The Brute Chop Saw off bearing Conveyor #20 were exposed to an ingoing nip point in the tail pulley area. The tail pulley ingoing nip point beside the nearby connected conveyor unit was not guarded. f) On or about May 18, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI, in Building 7, employees unstacking from the Baker Band Resaw Model ABX, Serial Number 07-3949 stacking conveyor unit were exposed to ingoing nip points in the tail pulley area. g) On or about May 18, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI, in Building 5-6, employees unstacking from the Line 3, conveyor #158 were exposed to a chain and sprocket tail pulley ingoing nip point. h) On or about May 18, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI in Building 4, on Line 1, the Eagle Transfer work station employee was exposed to a chain and sprocket tail pulley ingoing nip point on the second line from the work station. i) On or about May 18, 2022, at a facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI in Building 4, the Line 1 Sander Feeder was exposed to a chain and sprocket tail pulley ingoing nip point. j) On or about May 18, 2022, at a facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI in Building 10, Pre-Finish Area, the Makor Finishing Line Catching Station employee was exposed belt and pulley conveyor tail pulley ingoing nip points.
