29 CFR 1910.138(a):The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. On or about May 3, 2022 and times prior there to, employees were exposed to the following hazardous instances without having the proper PPE being worn or provided: a) Three Ovens located in the Vacuum Building exposing employees to excessive heat when handling the product without proper PPE; b) Employees not using gloves to handle Rovicore fiberglass matting material in and near the Chopping Room; c) Employee not using protective gloves to handle LHPC2700-TP STYPOL Resin material in and near the Chopping Room.
