29 CFR 1926.651(i)(3): Sidewalks, pavements, or appurtenant structures had been undermined and a support system or another method was not provided to protect employees from the possible collapse of such structures: a) On April 19, 2022, and times prior employees were exposed to the hazard of an undermined sidewalk, located near the ladder used for entering and exiting the excavation. No support or other protective devices were used in the 5.7 foot-deep area of the excavation. Note) Certification of corrective action is required for this item.
