29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1):The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): On or about February 14, 2022, and at times prior thereto, a hazard assessment had not been conducted in the facility to determine the personal protective equipment needed by employees working on the kill floor. Employees were exposed to injuries involving exposure to blood and other debris from the cattle being slaughtered.
