29 CFR 1910.37(a)(1): Exit routes shall not have flammable, explosive, combustible gases or flammable furnishings stored in the exit route. a. 1 Silverline Dr., North Brunswick, NJ - Production area - #1 Contour Intergrid The employer did not ensure exit routes were maintained free of flammable/combustible gas. The employer installed and maintained flammable storage lockers containing flammables, and a 55 gallon drum of Isopropyl Alcohol, directly in the exit route from the production area, at or near Contour Intergrid, to an outside exit. Violation observed on or about November 19, 2021 b. 1 Silverline Dr., North Brunswick, NJ - Shipping Dock Exit The employer did not ensure exit routes were maintained free of flammable/combustible gas. Employees engaged in the manufacture of vinyl window products and warehousing activities placed empty propane bottles from the powered industrial equipment at the emergency exit door. Employees used propane bottles as a door stop to keep the exit door open. Violation observed on or about November 19, 2021
