29 CFR 1926.1051(a): Stairways or ladders were not provided at all personnel points of access where there was a break in elevation of 19 inches: (a) 3110 Grove Court Mechanicsburg, PA - Employees used a 6 foot Warner stepladder in a closet to access the top of a trusses/decking on a residential home with a break in elevation of 2 feet from the top of the ladder to the top of the truss and decking, exposing employees to a fall hazard, on or about August 31, 2021. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
