29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) Plastics Line, Fogg Filler Machine. On or about April 9, 2021, the employer did not develop, document and utilize energy control procedures for employees who performed servicing and maintenance activities such as cleaning and sanitation of the machine. Employees did not deenergize and lock out the machine prior to cleaning rotating parts with hand-held cloths and were exposed to fracture and amputation hazards. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
