29 CFR 1910.146(c)(4): The employer did not develop or implement a written permit space program: (a) Dick's Sporting Good, Inc. at 31 W Flatiron Crossing Drive in Broomfield, CO: On or before March 30, 2021, the employer did not develop or implement a written permit space program for employee entry into the store's trash compactor. The compactor met the definition of a permit space, and operations employees regularly entered the space while safety hazards were present, but the employer did not implement a permit space program to ensure safe entry. This condition exposed employees to crushing hazards.
