Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye and face equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: a.) Kinzua Water Treatment, Inc. dba Culligan Water, Water treatment area, on or about June 26th, 2020 and times prior thereto: Employees worked with and around corrosive chemicals including, but not limited to, muriatic acid and caustic soda liquid during water treatment operations. An employee that performed work operations with these chemicals did not utilize eye and/or face protection. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
