29 CFR 1910.219(c)(2)(i): All exposed part(s) of horizontal shafting seven (7) feet or less from floor or working platform were not protected by stationary casing(s) enclosing shafting completely or by trough(s) enclosing sides and top or sides and bottom of shafting: On or about February 20, 2020, at the 39 Line, the employer did not ensure that the horizontal shafting, less than 7 feet from the floor, at Takeup machines including, but not limited to 33, 32, and 31, was protected from contact by stationary casing(s), enclosing shafting completely, or by trough(s) enclosing sides and top or sides and bottom of shafting. Employees were exposed to caught-in injuries from rotating shafts at the Takeup-machines.
