29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): When the employer had assessed the workplace hazard(s) and determined that hazard(s) were present, the employer did not select and/or use the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee from the hazards. a) On or about 12/27/19 at 350 Dewitt Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11207 employees plating bathroom hardware were exposed to hazardous chemicals including but not limited to Sulfuric acid, Hydrochloric acid, and Nitric acid splashing into the eyes without a face shield. b) On or about 12/27/19 at 350 Dewitt Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11207 employees plating bathroom hardware were exposed to hazardous chemicals including but not limited to Sulfuric acid, Hydrochloric acid, and Nitric acid splashing onto the skin and clothing without chemical resistant coveralls. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY.
