29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was four feet (1.2m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Plant - On or about 08/06/19 and at times prior thereto, the elevated walkway (catwalk) on top of the Hydro-Coolers #1 and #2 had unprotected border sections exposing workers to 8.0 ft. falls onto the concrete floor. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
