29 CFR 1910.107(b)(10): When spraying areas are illuminated through glass panels or other transparent materials, only fixed lighting units shall be used as a source of illumination. Panels were not arranged so that normal accumulations of residue on the exposed surface of the panel will not be raised to a dangerous temperature by radiation or conduction from the source of illumination: Abra Auto Body Repair of America-Decatur, Ga- On or about May 9, 2019, and times prior to, employees were exposed to smoke inhalation hazards at the following locations: a) Eagle Spray Booth 1)Lights hanging from the ceiling outside the door of the booth were not sealed. b) Devillis Spray booth (Prep Booth) 1) Lights inside the booth panel used as a source of illumination was broken/cracked. 2) Lights outside the spray booth used as a source of illumination were not enclosed exposing employees to a fire/burn hazard. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
