Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.120(q)(3)(iii): Based on the hazardous substances and/or conditions present, the individual in charge of the ICS did not implement appropriate emergency operations and did not ensure that the personal protective equipment worn was appropriate for the hazards encountered: (a) Gen II 100 Room Employees failed to wear Level B personal protective equipment while responding to and investigating a leak of chlorine gas. Chlorine concentrations in the room were measured by direct reading instruments indicated exposures at or above 10 ppm, the level Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health (IDLH). Violation occurred on or about 01/02/2019.
