29 CFR 1910.37(a)(2): Exit routes were not arranged so that employees did not have to travel toward a high hazard area, unless the path of travel was effectively shielded from the high hazard area by suitable partitions or other physical barriers. a) Basement Area and Basement Ramp, 508 East Valley Road, Loganton, PA - The exit route used by employees to exit the basement floor was arranged where employees had to travel into and through an area where material handling equipment including forklifts, skidsteer and telehandlers are used and the exit route was not effectively shielded from the high hazard area by a suitable partition or other physical barrier, exposing employees to struck-by and crushing hazards, on or about December 4, 2018. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19, abatement certification and documentation is required for this violation.
