29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures shall be developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees are engaged in the activities covered by this section. a. Located at 3610 West Pike, Zanesville, OH: On or about October 25, 2018, the employer did not develop nor document procedures for the control of hazardous energy when employees were engaged in the cleaning activities to the balers. Equipment covered by this part included the horizontal (Maren, Model: 72/60-301, Horizontal Closed Door Baler) and vertical (CRAM-A-LOT, Model VB-72) balers for servicing activities. Employees were exposed to potential struck by and caught-in hazards, during the cleaning of the balers.
