Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(iv): Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment shall not be used to support scaffold platforms unless they have been specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use. On or about March 5, 2018, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 12.4 feet while working from a scaffold platform that was elevated and supported by a skid steer loader. Employees worked from the scaffold platform, which was made from a wooden parts crate, to prepare a grain dryer for removal and replacement. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
