29 CFR 1910.179(b)(3): Modified crane(s) were not checked thoroughly for the new rated load by a qualified engineer or the equipment manufacturer: a) Hydro Laboratory- On or about February 8, 2018, the employer failed to ensure that the East Crane was load tested following the installation of the new hoist. b) Hydro Laboratory- On February 15, 2018, the employer failed to ensure that the West Crane was load tested following the installation of the new hoist. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
