29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. On or about January 25, 2018, in the west side of the machine shop, the Continental Ulticut drill press did not have a guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts. b. On or about January 25, 2018, in the south side of the maintenance shop, the JET drill press did not have a guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts. c. On or about January 25, 2018, in the fabrication shop, the hydraulic brake press did not have a point of operation guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts. d. On or about January 25, 2018, in the machine shop, the Kao Ming KMR-980S did not have a radial drill guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts. e. On or about January 25, 2018, in the machine shop along the south wall, the Bridgeport Milling machine MMVM3 did not have a guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts. f. On or about January 25, 2018, in the machine shop along the south wall, the Bridgeport Milling machine MME01 did not have a guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts.
