29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the following: Guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: The employer does not ensure that employees working on elevated platforms are provided with adequate fall protection. This violation was observed on or about November 15, 2017 in the plating area, a portion of the elevated platform was missing guardrails, exposing the employee to the hazard of falls. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps that is taking to ensure elevated working levels are provided with adequate guardrails.
