29 CFR 1910.332(b)(1): Employees were not trained in and familiar with the safety-related work practices required by 1910.331 through 1910.335 that pertained to their respective job assignments: (a) Mechanical Air, Inc. at 1370 Grant St., Denver, CO 80203: On and before June 26, 2017, the employer did not ensure that employees were trained in and familiar with the safety-related work practices required by 1910.331 through 1910.335 that pertained to their respective job assignments. An HVAC employee was working on the control system for a variable air volume unit without de-energizing it. The employee came into contact with the energized 208 volt circuit, and was fatally injured when he fell from a stepladder. The employee was not trained on the safety-related work practices required by this part. This condition exposed the employee to electrical shock and fall hazards.
