29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. (a) Red Shed: On or about June 12, 2017 and at times prior, at approximately 17 ft. Eagle Farms Red Shed, LLC employees under the direction of Eagle Farms, Inc. supervision were removing metal roofing panels during demolition of the Red Shed without the use of fall protection. One employee fell approximately 17 feet to the concrete floor below. Note: Abatement certification and documentation is required for this item.
