29 CFR 1910.107(c)(6): Electrical wiring and equipment not subject to deposits of combustible residues but located in a spraying area as herein defined were not explosion-proof type approved for Class I, group D locations and did not otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part, for Class I, Division 1, Hazardous Locations. Electrical wiring, motors, and other equipment outside of but within twenty (20) feet of any spray area, and not separated therefrom by partitions, produced sparks under normal operating conditions and did not otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous Locations: a) On or about February 21, 2017, building 1, in the spray booth, the electrical equipment such as, but not limited to the extension cord and mixing drill were being used within 20 feet of the opening of the spray booth and were not rated for a Class 1, Division 1 location. Employees exposed to a fire or explosion hazard. b) On or about February 21, 2017, building 2, in the spray booth, the electrical wiring in this spray booth was not rated for a class 1, division 1 location. The electrical equipment such as the electrical fan and electrical lights in the spray booth were not rated for a Class 1, Division 1 location. The extension cord going through the wall to the coffee pot were also not rated for Class 1, Division 1 location and were within 20 feet of the opening of the spray booth. Employees exposed to a fire or explosion hazard.
