29 CFR 1910.28(b)(3)(i): Holes. The employer did not ensure each employee was protected from falling through any hole (including skylights) that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level: a) 9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, 08110- Skim Pit: The employer did not ensure that employees who worked near openings in the grates covering the skim pit were protected from falling. Employees service sensors on a pump and drain waste oil from the 15 foot deep skim pit, on or about 1/24/2017. b) 9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, 08110- Foundry: The employer did not ensure that employees were protected from falling into the casting pit 35 feet below the ground level while serving as attendants during confined space entry, on or about 2/10/2017. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
