29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury: On or about December 28, 2016, Jesus Martinez - Ortiz had employees exposed to struck-by hazards in the eye from the use of pneumatic guns without eye protection, on a residential construction site in Mahomet, Illinois. The employer did not provide employee training in order to provide the employees with the knowledge to recognize construction safety hazards, as well as the procedures to follow in order to minimize or eliminate those safety hazards.
