Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms or service rooms were not kept clean and orderly or in a sanitary condition: (a) Throughout Mail Room - On or about February 4, 2016, rolling carts, mail tubs, mail equipment, and trash were placed in the passageway. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 964416 citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 7, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 888 E. Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station, NY 11746. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 903288, citation number 1, item number1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 5, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 180 Gardiners Ave., Levittown, NY 11756. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
