29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicated that any employee's exposure equaled or exceed the 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program: a) Throughout the facility, on or about 1/13/16: A noise monitoring program was not developed for employees working in high noise areas including, but not limited to, sand blast area. Screen sampling revealed that the employees was exposed to 90.5 decibels of noise. b) Throughout the facility, on or about 1/13/16: A noise monitoring program was not developed for employees working in high noise areas including, but not limited to, Greenline fabrication area in High Bay building. Full shift sampling revealed that employees were exposed to noise at 89.3 decibels of noise, based on an 8 hour time weighted average. c) Throughout the facility, on or about 1/13/16: A noise monitoring program was not developed for employees working in high noise areas including, but not limited to, Patco fabrication area. Sound level meter readings revealed that employees were exposed to 94 decibels of noise. d) Throughout the facility, on or about 1/13/16: A noise monitoring program was not developed for employees working in high noise areas including, but not limited to, power wash area in Strip and Wash building. Sound level meter readings revealed that employees were exposed to 105 decibels of noise. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item
