OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employee(s) in that employee(s) were exposed to the hazard of being caught-in: Inside of the Fabrication Department, employees were exposed to a caught-in hazard due to that the one hand, control lever was not designed and constructed to protect against unintended actuation on the following equipment: a/ K.R. Wilson Hydraulic Press, m/n 3700V2-B, s/n 2051. One method of abatement to correct this apparent hazard is to protect the one-hand control lever against unintended actuation as required by ANSI B11.2-1995, paragraph 6.3.9.(3).
