29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(i): The employee training did not include the methods and observations used to detect the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area: (a)Summit Energy Services, Inc. at WPX well pad GM 13-33, Parachute, CO 81505: On and before January 9th, 2015, employees responsible for strapping tanks and hauling production water were exposed to health and fire hazards associated with hydrocarbon exposures related to opening thief hatches on production tanks. The employer had not provided employees with appropriate training in the detection of hazardous chemicals within their work areas using gas detection equipment.
